Can I tackle roof repairs myself?
We strongly discourage DIY roof repairs unless you are trained. Working on a roof is dangerous, and an incomplete repair usually causes bigger problems — and bigger bills — down the road. Schedule a free inspection with our trained professionals instead.
When will I need a roof replacement?
It depends on your roofing material and whether the roof has taken damage. Storms can force a replacement early, while architectural shingles are built to last longer and withstand the elements. We offer free roof inspections to determine the condition of your roof and the right time to replace it.
Do you handle roofing insurance claims?
Yes — we work roofing insurance claims nearly every day. We document damage with photos and notes, prove the claim to your insurance company, and negotiate so you get the best roof possible. Many of our restorations cost the homeowner little or nothing out of pocket.
What areas do you serve?
We proudly serve Northeast Ohio, including Wadsworth, Akron, Barberton, Medina, Wooster, Stow, Hudson, Brunswick, and more than a dozen surrounding communities.
How fast can a roof be replaced?
Most of our re-roofs are finished — and the job site completely cleaned up — in a single day. Our local Amish crews are fast because they are experienced, not because they cut corners.
How much does a roof replacement cost in Northeast Ohio?
It depends on the size and pitch of your roof, the material you choose, and whether decking needs repair — which is why we give written estimates after a free inspection instead of guessing over the phone. If your replacement is storm-related and your insurance claim is approved, many homeowners pay little more than their deductible.
Will my insurance rates go up if I file a roof claim?
Storm damage claims are classified as "acts of God" in Ohio, and a single weather-related claim typically does not raise your individual rates the way an at-fault claim would. Carriers adjust regional rates after major storms whether you file or not — so not filing rarely saves you anything.
How do I know if my roof has hail damage?
From the ground, look for dented gutters, downspouts, or AC fins, granules collecting at downspout exits, and shingle pieces in the yard. The bruising on the shingles themselves is usually invisible from the ground — that is what our free, photo-documented inspections are for.
Do you only do roofing?
No — we handle the whole exterior: roofing, siding, seamless gutters, soffit and fascia, windows, and new construction roofing, for both homes and commercial buildings. One local team and one workmanship warranty across all of it.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Choice One Restoration is fully licensed and insured, locally owned, and holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Every job is backed by a workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer warranty.
